Philip Abram has been designing and constructing stylish and beautifully detailed architecture for over 30 years. He has worked in unison with Anna Bowen-James, an associate within the practice, for the last 20 years. During this time they have built over 200 projects including new family homes, major home renovations, shops, cafes and bars, as well as a number of projects in the industrial sector.
We view architecture as a complete journey: from the initial discussion of the brief, through the design phase and into construction. We are hands-on architects, who administer and monitor the entire process, including construction, to ensure unparalleled attention to detail.
When we work with older homes we search for the soul of the building, to recapture and refresh its unique identity. We design seamlessly integrate the existing shell and footprint, with any additions and alterations, using the finest quality materials. The result maintains the integrity of the original structure, whilst at the same time incorporating the requirements of modern, twenty-first century family.
In all our projects, we design the landscaping to be stylistically consistent with the character of the home. This creates fluid movement between the interior and exterior, capitalising on alfresco living.
By designing with our client’s tastes in mind and remaining sympathetic to the existing streetscape, we have been able to create some striking family residences. A number of these houses have been published, used in television advertisements, and on fashion shoots. Fundamentally however they are great houses to live in and raise families.
